"DON'T WORRY"
Do you find yourself always worrying about something? Whether its your kids doing the right thing or if you will have enough money, or if a major decision will be made today on your behalf? There are hundreds upon hundreds of things we can worry about in just a day, and that my friend is just what the devil wants us to do...WORRY!! He gets us so caught up in worrying about this or that and in reality it turns us away from trusting in God the creator of Heaven and earth who adores us and loves us with an all consuming love. Well, let's go to God's word and see what He has to say on "worry" or "worrying". After you finish reading this devotional which isn't in your hand by accident, God has divinely placed it in your hand to help you, to free you from the bondage of worry and or teach a love one not worry.
Matthew 6:25-27 Therefore, I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important that food, and the body more important than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?
Luke 12:22 Then Jesus said to his disciples: "Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life what you will eat; or about your body what you will wear. Life is more than food and the body more than clothes. Consider the ravens; They do not sow or reap, they have no storeroom or barn; yet God feeds them. And how more valuable you are than birds." Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life? Since you cannot do this very little thing why do you worry about the rest?
Luke 21:14 But make up your mind not to worry beforehand how you will defend yourselves. (Very important for those of waiting to go to court), if you love the Lord your righteousness will go before you like noon dawn day.
Jeremiah 17:8 He will be like a tree planted by the water that sends but it's roots by the stream. It does not fear what heat comes; it leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit.
1 Peter 5:7 Cast ALL your anxiety on Him because He cares for you.
These are just a few scriptures on how God feels about worrying. I know its so hard not to worry, but fret not, God is always in control. I personally struggle at time with this. I worry if enough donations will come in to support this ministry so I can buy stamps. I worry about things I know better not too, so I have learned to cast ALL not some but ALL my care on God who doesn't change and He has helped me greatly with this area. I know embrace peace and stand on the scripture that the righteous will never be begging for bread. We must trust Him that He as our best in mind, like a father does his son. If we believe Romans 8:28 where God says He works EVERYTHING our for our GOOD-so why worry? To be honest it seems stupid to worry since God has it all worked out, He is in control of everything!! In the long run if you really think about it half the stuff we worry about never happens anyway!!
Start today, commit not to worry and fully trust God has your back in every situation. Test if for yourself, the next 30 days make a choice NOT to worry about ANYTHING!!!! If you are like me I like writing things done, so write today’s date (the the day you start). Each time something comes up in your spirit of worry....cast it down in Jesus Name. Then look back 30 days later, and I promise you based in God's word, He will supply and take care of everything for you according to His perfect will for you found in Christ Jesus.
Remember God knows you better than yourself, so sometimes what we think should or shouldn't happen isn't God's ways. His ways are not our ways, nor His thoughts, and we are just to obey and cast our cares on Him because He loves us. To obey is greater than sacrifice.
Don't worry or stop worrying and watch how God works everything out for you! Besides, think how much healthier you will feel when you let go and let God....He will sustain you and free you from worry "if" you let him....won't you let Him? The peace alone you will receive is priceless. Lastly, God will never force Himself on you, it is is a personal choice that each of us make to either accept His Son Jesus Christ as Our Savior or reject Him. That is what free choice is all about and something that I will go into more in future devotionals God willing.
Please consider not worrying but trusting and God will honor your choice. He loves you and so do I.

Your Body, A Living Sacrifice….
Romans 12:1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, Holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service.
We need to set our affections on the things of the Spirit and not be In bondage to the desires of the flesh. Remember, Go bought us at a great price! We are His “special” treasure. It is written that a wife has no power on her own body, except for her husband (1Cor. 7:4)….if we don’t yield our bodies to Christ, He has a limited power to work.
God has to have a vessel to operate, so that vessel needs to be purified, dedicated to His use. That vessel must be available to God at all times-Whenever He needs it.
You will not have time to make yourself ready. You must keep yourself purified! You cannot live in the flesh, and at the same time be available to the Spirit. You must walk in the Spirit and in doing so keep yourself from becoming entangled in worldly things. It may not be easy but God will bless you for it!

"Correction" on "Give" date 10.14.10

Reference: “Give” devotional
Our devotional entitled “GIVE” dated October14, 2010; there was a typing error with scripture. It was brought to our attention that no scripture of “Isaiah 20:29” is in the Bible. The inmate is correct and we stand corrected that it was a typing error and it should of said; “Isaiah 40:29” NOT “Isaiah 20:29.” We apologize for this human error and are grateful for the women who brought it to our attention, and we thank you.

Dependence on God

Hebrews 3:14- For we have become partakers of Christ if we hold the beginning of our confidence steadfast to the end...
My friends, please heed Gods Words!
Do not walk carelessly, nor lay out your own path to travel. You cannot know what lies ahead in the distant future, or what adversity you may encounter tomorrow. So walk closely with God, so you may draw quickly upon his aide. We all need God, and no matter how well developed our faith is, or how mature our growth in grace, never think for a moment we need His support any less. The truth is we need it even more. God may shelter the newborn from trials and tests that He allows to confront those who are growing up in spiritual stature. We can not grow unless God allows these proving and test experiences.
So hold more firmly to Gods hand so you journey into your christian walk, and know the same confidence we had in the beginning-we have till the end.
