God hasn’t forgotten you
Many times in my life I have felt like so many bad things were happening one right after another. Earlier this year I have went through a really bad depression and even found myself thinking "has God forgotten me?" and you may have even thought that yourself at any point in your life. I didn’t give up on God even though our enemy satan wants us to, you have to stand your ground and remember God’s promise that He will never leave us. I kept my faith and kept praying and God came to my rescue. I would say April (2010) was one of my best months ever, I have seen God answer a prayer that I have been praying about for some time now and I have felt an overwhelming of His love and peace! I knew God didn’t forget about me but it’s all about being patient and trusting HIM. I want to say to you that GOD HAS NOT FORGOTTEN YOU either! There will be times in our lives that we may feel like God isn’t there but that is far from the truth, we have to remember to live by God’s Word and not our feelings. Be strong in your faith and stay focused on Jesus and by doing that satan won’t have a chance to feed our minds with lies.Isaiah 41:9 (CEV) "From far across the earth I brought you here and said, "You are my chosen servant. I haven't forgotten you." Isaiah 41:10 (CEV) "Don't be afraid. I am with you. Don't tremble with fear. I am your God. I will make you strong, as I protect you with my arm and give you victories."Deuteronomy 31:6 (NCV) "Be strong and brave. Don't be afraid of them and don't be frightened, because the Lord your God will go with you. He will not leave you or forget you."

Be the “Light”
If you are reading this devotional there is a really good chance that you are in a very dark place, or maybe going through a very dark period of your life. If that is the case, and that is YOUR truth today, then know that there is NO MISTAKE you are reading this today. God has chosen you this very day to receive His Word through this. Make no mistake about it, you were chosen to read this.
So what do we mean by “Be the Light”? I can almost hear you saying this to our ministry team;
“Are you kidding me? The “Light”, Ok, that’s funny!! Did you know that I am sitting in the darkest, most depressing place I have ever been in my entire life? If you were sitting in my body and you had my life, than you would never ask me to be the light. There is nothing LIGHT about this place. I have NO freedom, I have NO peace, I have NO privacy, there is NOTHING but madness and darkness, SO, where is this LIGHT you are talking about, I don’t see it? Please tell me where is this LIGHT?
You have not found the light because you are looking in the wrong place. It’s not in the dorm, it’s not in the yard or the chow hall, and it is certainly absolutely not at visitation! But, before we share with you where the LIGHT is let’s go directly to the true source of ALL answers, The Bible.
In Matthew 5:15 Jesus said “Neither do men light a lamp and then place it under the bed, but place it on a stand to light up the whole house”. Even so, let your light shine before men, so that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven”
Ok Pink Love, break that down a little more. Are you saying that I am the light?
Why yes beloved sister, you are the LIGHT!!! You see, Jesus is the LIGHT of the world, and when He left this world to be seated at the right hand of His Father in Heaven, He placed that Light in EVERYONE who would believe in Him and call on His Name, and yes that means you.
Scripture says that “You will know HIS people by their fruit”. Do you know that no matter what you have done in your past, NO MATTER WHAT, that when you call on Jesus and ask for Him to come into your heart and to forgive you of your sins, then your slate is clean, your sins are forgiven, and you become a new creature in Christ. How is that? Because Jesus paid the price for you on the cross at Calvary over 2,000 years ago, and ever since that day when He cried “It is FINISHED”, and He took His last human breath, the huge gap (one that we could never close without His death) was closed and we forever had access to God again. WOW, what an awesome thought! God loved ME enough to lose His only child so that I could be forgiven! Sit and think about that for a while, because it’s an AWESOME TRUTH! So, in closing, know this! God has placed the LIGHT of His Son Jesus, in each and every believer. Yes beloved, YOU ARE THE LIGHT! Please know that whom the Son sets free is free indeed, and today YOU may be the ONLY LIGHT that someone else will see. The Glory of God lives within all of us and all of you.
The Joy of The Lord is the LIGHT that will attract others to you, as a moth is drawn to light, and through that drawing, others will see your LIGHT and say, “Wow, something is different about you”.
Yes, they are right, something is different, it’s the Glory of God, it’s the Joy of The Lord………………………it’s HIS LIGHT, IN YOU!!! BE THE “LIGHT”

"Remain In LOVE"

“Remain In LOVE”
O’ Lord how I love thee. Show me your favor and grace me with your protection and keep me the apple of your eye even when I’m being attacked from left to right.
How do we keep to the apple of God’s eye and under His umbrella of protection? Most would say, we are the apple of God’s eye since He created us and loves us all, but how then do we stay under His wings of protection and continue to experience His love?
Here is the key:
John 15:10; If you obey my commands, you will remain in my love, just as I have obeyed my Fathers’ commands and remain in his love.
Our protection comes from obedience. When we step out of His will and take on our own will embrace the bareness of His protection. This happens because He is a just God. He doesn’t force His will on us, but allows us to choose for our own.
How do we stay in His love? We obey His commands that are set before us. Why do we struggle with this? There are many reasons for the struggles, and I will not go into the many but share one that hits home for all of us. It is found in Genesis 4:7 If you do what is right, will you not be accepted? But if you do not do what is right sin is crouching at your door; it desires to have you, but you must master it.
SIN is the root of not obeying the Lord’s commands and not remaining in His love. When we chose not to obey all of God’s commands set before us, sin is right there at our front doors waiting to master us. It desires to be our God. When we make a decision to ignore the truth of God’s commands and obey we have sin crouching and lurking trying to get into any place within our lives. We don’t have to let it in and then master us. We can choose to obey God and cast it down. We can’t do this on our own. In our strength we are nothing, it is only when we humble ourselves and cry out to God to help us. He says in our weakness we are made strong in Him.
Jesus said in Luke 9:23; “If anyone would come after me; he must deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me. Our Lord and Savior says we must “DAILY” deny ourselves and take up the cross. When we do this we are found in obedience to His commands and will remain in His love. God loves you and longs to have an intimate relationship with you. Will you deny yourself for Him?
And finally; For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men. It teaches us to say no to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in the present age, while we wait for the blessed hope-the glorious appearing of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ, who gave himself for us to redeem us from all wickedness and to purify for himself a people that are his very own, eager to do what is good. Titus 2:11-14
Remain in Love my dear and beloved friends by obeying His commands. For obedience is greater than sacrifice.

God's Power within us

Hey everyone...God Bless you :) As most of you know we have been sending a weekly devotional to approx. 72 inmates for the last 3 weeks. One day God willing we will send a daily devotional to every women in prison in the United States of America. Please keep praying for us and help us financially if you can as we walk through the leading of God on this path.
Below is the devotional we sent out for July 8, 2010 written by the beloved Angie Blevins. May God Bless her and give her His favor and splendor in all her ways. Thank you Angie for always extending your heart to Surrender40 and now also through Pink Love...we are grateful for all your love.
God's Power within us

I think sometimes as followers of Christ we forget just how much power we have inside of us, the power of Christ living in us. Would you agree that if we really believed that then a lot of believers should live their lives with so much more peace and joy?
People are living with so much sadness, stress, worry, guilt, anger, anxiety, and depression including many Christians. I feel sometimes we think that as a believer “we are in the safe zone” when it comes to the devil but honestly the devil purses us more than before when we accepted Christ into our life.
Millions of people are dealing with depression, anxiety, and people are committing suicide. It’s clear that people are dealing with tremendous amounts of stress and feelings of no hope and “no way out”. That’s so sad that so many people are hurting, and many of them are even believers!
Speaking for myself I can understand how others feel, I know what it’s like feeling stressed, depressed, and etc. We are all human and these emotions and feelings sometimes come very natural to us but as followers of Christ we need to put these types of feelings in check; keep them in control. We CANNOT allow our feelings and emotions to control us; if we do we are putting ourselves in a position that will allow the devil to have his way with us.
The devil is out to destroy our lives, and it starts in our mind. Don’t allow the lies, and negative thoughts to take root. The minute we believe what the devil puts in our head is the minute that we allowed the devil to win and God’s power that is within us cannot work when we stop believing the promises of God. We are meant to live so much more than what we allow. Just say this out loud: GOD’S POWER IS LIVING WITHIN ME! There is power in just saying that!! Believe it in your mind! Mediate day and night on God’s Word. When we know the truth it sets us free! We can have victory in every area of our life. We can defeat the devil and his schemes and stop allowing him to destroy our life.
Ephesians 3:19-20 (New Century Version) 19 Christ's love is greater than anyone can ever know, but I pray that you will be able to know that love. Then you can be filled with the fullness of God. 20 With God's power working in us, God can do much, much more than anything we can ask or imagine.
Philippians 4:8 (Amplified Bible) 8For the rest, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is worthy of reverence and is honorable and seemly, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely and lovable, whatever is kind and winsome and gracious, if there is any virtue and excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think on and weigh and take account of these things [fix your minds on them].
